More info about the propaganda TV program...
Health Freedom New Zealand is an organization which helps ensure that the voice of New Zealanders are heard in matters of health freedom.
You will recollect that earlier I did a post about this incredibly biased program that was run on TV recently.
HFNZ have prepared and submitted a formal complaint to the Broadcasting Authority. Some of you may find it interesting reading. You can access the info by clicking here.
By the way...Professor Jackson on behalf of a pharmaceutical company is trying to push the benefits of the 'polypill' which contains statins and various other medications. It will be a disaster if that ever becomes a reality.
Thinking about having the swine flu vaccine? You need to read this.
As most of you know I am not a fan of most vaccines and certainly not of the swine flu vaccine which is a whole lot of to-to about very little. There are much more serious health issues to be addressed than the so called swine flu pandemic.
Anyway, there is a large proportion of the population who will accept what they are told by the 'authorities' and as a result droves of people are heading off to the nearest vaccination station to queue up for there shots.
Now, if you are one of these people who propose having an H1N1 vaccine shot consider seriously if you really want some mercury injected into your blood stream! Yes, the vaccine does contain thimersosal which is merury based. Of course the authorities argue that it is safe...but, do your own assessment. Mercury is a deadly poison.
It is interesting that in the US these vaccines are being given to infants 6 months and older.
An 'interesting' TV program about supplements that was nonsense...
Over the last week television NZ gave an enormous amount of publicity to a program to be screened last night entitled. “Your vitamins may be killing you!”
Many New Zealanders were waiting with anticipation about what promised to be some startling ground breaking news. During the run up to the program they had a Prof/Dr from Auckland University on TV stating emphatically in a very smug way that vitamins will kill you faster than second hand smoke.
To try and prove his point he dug out some studies which came to the conclusion that if you take excessive doses of Vitamin’s A, E and C that you may shorten your life. What he didn’t explain that these were studies in which the synthetic form of these vitamins were used and used on their own (which is a no no) and used in excessive amounts. Anything taken in excess will cause a problem…even water can kill you. This is why we have never advocated mega doses of vitamins but instead use a synergistic mix of many nutrients.
Anyway, this Prof/Dr got eight volunteers who were supplement users, some of which had only been taking them for a short while and were willing to give them up for six weeks. They did not reveal what the supplements were.
Omega 3 reduces the risk of age related blindness by 30%!!
That’s what the US National Eye Institute says after completing a study on the subject.
They also confirm that the most important part of the Omega 3 fatty acids is the DHA component which is what we have been suggesting for many years now. It is for this reason that people should understand the ‘normal’ 18/12 fish oil is just not potent enough…and of course the non fish based Omega 3 fatty acids are even less effective as they do not contain any EPA let alone the much more complex DHA.
They found in the study that the Omega 3 helped the eyes by acting as an anti-inflammatory. No surprise there either. We have always maintained that it is the anti-inflammatory properties of Omega 3 fish oil that provides the benefits…not only for eyes but for the heart and general health.
I can say in all honesty if you want the best possible Omega 3 DHA fish oil not only for your eyes but also for your general health that you will get the best results from our Xtend-Life product. It has some unique features that are not present in any other fish oil, particuarly with regard to its anti-inflammatory properties. If you go to our web page and download the Buyers Guide to Omega 3 which you will find by clicking products and then Omega 3 DHA fish oil then you will understand what I am talking about.

An example of successful cholesterol balance using natural solutions only...
I have just received this comment from a reader of this blog. I thought that I would post it here as it is an inspiration of what can be acheived if the effort is made.
Comment: from Don
My doctor wanted to put me on statins after he reviewed my blood test results. I am 68, and normally eat a well-balance healthy diet relatively low in unhealthy fat. The doctor gave me some dietary restrictions to improve my situation.
After 3 months on the more restrictive diet, my blood test cholesterol levels were even worse than the previous test results. My doctor told me it was time to take statin medication, and he was upset that wanted another chance, several months more, to improve my blood test results. Despite my 68 years I do a lot of competitive sports, especially triathlons and foot races.
I was afraid that the negative side effects of statins would end my competitive career since I have heard so many horror stories from friends that have taken statins. I did researched, in the internet, for methods that could safely reduce my bad cholesterol numbers without negative side effects.
Weight loss help with Xtend-Life??
As our customers and readers know we do not promote any of our products specifically for weight loss. The reason for this is that there is no such thing as a really effective stand alone weight loss product which is why we have never produced one for that purpose.
At the end of the day weight loss is dependent upon calories in versus calories out. In other words if you put more calories into your body than you use you will put on weight...it is impossible to have any other result. So, neither our products nor anyone else’s will make you lose weight unless you combine it with lifestyle adjustments, stop eating certain foods and do some reasonable exercise.
However, I have always argued that if you maintain a good balance of nutrients in your body then two things can happen. One is that you are less likely to have cravings and the other is that you are more likely to exercise. Over the last 10 years feedback from customers would tend to support this principle.
Over the next couple of months I intend putting aside time to update the weight loss report. There is much that I have learnt since writing that a number of years ago as science has moved on. For example, I have only recently learnt of how our Omega 3 fish oilis helping people lose weight particularly for those who have been on a low fat diet. When levels of fat intake get too low it interferes with leptin which regulates how full you feel which in turn leads to higher food intake.
A healthy, tasty and natural salad dressing!
I am sometimes asked what I use as a salad dressing. This is because if you are not careful a salad dressing because of the additives in it can negate the benefits of the salad itself. They can also contribute to weight gain. For this reason I don’t use any commercially prepared ones and over the years our family have developed our own which we make up as needed.
I really like the taste of it, and I know that it is reallly good for me and I eat quite a lot of it.
I have to warn you though...some people do not like it as it has a bit of a ‘kick’ with it. But, you can play around with the quantities of each until you get it to your own taste.
A must read article for statin drug users!
From time to time I either come across an article that is so good and ties in with my own views that I like to share it with you. The following article by Tom Jacobs is excellent and is well worth reading. If you are on a statin drug or being pressure to go on one by your Doctor then this article should be a must read.
Cholesterol Contrarians Question Cult of Statins
By: Tom Jacobs
The near-breakdown of the international financial system and the deep recession it helped create has been attributed to many causes. Greed, of course. A lack of rigorous regulation. An everyone's-doing-it mentality in which traders took bigger and bigger risks as they search for bigger and bigger payoffs.
Now, a Florida physician proposes an alternative explanation. Perhaps many of those supposedly sophisticated speculators who believed the party would never end were acting under the influence of drugs.
Cholesterol-lowering drugs.
"There's a damn good possibility it's related!" said Mark Goldstein, who has been observing his patients' reactions to statins formore than twodecades. He noted these widely prescribed drugs can produce a wide array of side effects, including a variety of cognitive disturbances. One reported effect is an increase in impulsive behavior.
"I think it's a real issue, a significant issue — especially in the case of middle-aged and older men," he said. "Aren't those some of the people that were making some of these economic deals?"
