An act of kindness...
I just had to share this with you.
A couple of days ago I was at the airport in Christchurch, New Zealand waiting for a flight to Auckland and then on to Shanghai.
Well, when I arrived at the airport in CHCH I realised that I had forgotten my tooth brush. So, I went to the bookshop in the terminal building to buy one. They had a double toothbrush set for NZ$3.50 so I bought it. Only problem was that I couldn't find any New Zealand currency, although I knew that I had some in amongst a variety of currency that I carry.
Anyway, I am sorting through this wad of cash which had 16 currencies whilst the attendant patiently waited. I could have used my EFPOS card or a credit card but I was determined to find some NZ cash because it was such a small amount.
In the meantime a woman came in to buy a newspaper and had overheard my discussion because it was quite funny. She insisted that the attendant takes the $3.50 out of her change. I protested and explained that I had some NZ cash there and I had alternative means of paying for it but she insisted and whilst this was going on the shop attendant had already given her the change less the $3.50 and I was still fumbling around sorting through various currencies.
I asked the woman to hold on as I had just found the cash but she just smiled and said maybe I can give it back in another life and then walked away. I thought I will catch up to her and arrange to send her a bottle of Omega 3 but by the time I was able to get out of the shop she was gone.
Why mention this? What's it got to do with health?
Well, a lot I think. I don't know what age this woman was...maybe 50 or 60 but she had a calmness and a glow about her which indicates good health. She obviously knows how giving can enrich your life and ultimately comes back to you ten fold. That I believe is the law of the universe. You don't need to give money because you may not have it...but, time and even a smile is a form of giving.
I am sure that if you make a conscious effort each day to give something to someone else, even a stranger that your life will be enriched and your health will be enhanced.

I liked the act of that woman and also your way of thinking toward her act .
I totally believe there is relation between Giving/ Good health . I don't mean giving money only but any sort of give.
The prophet of Islam said : (treat your patients with sadaqah aka Charity ).
And the prophet of islam didn't verify Charity as giving money only but also the smile is considered a charity.
Since he said : Smiling in the face of people is a charity.
Let every one get healthier just by GIVING if not money then let it be a smile .
Best regards for You warren / all staff

But Warren, I must tell you this: In that moment when I read through your experience, I thought of both you and the kind lady in my prayers.
Kindness is indeed a pure, untarnished quality and is essential to a being. In today's world, it becomes even more important not to miss out on those umpteen moments when we are given a chance to do an act of kindness, no matter how small it be.
Kudos to that lady for her thoughtful mind and to you for acknowledging her by putting this down and sharing it with umpteen readers.

I am on my first TBP Women and fish oil and I love it, no fish oil repeat &no tablet smell. I am trying to stretch my budget, so here are my questions:
1. What is the minimum #of TBP tablets /daily &still get the benefits, especially of the all special anti aging ingredients.
2. I take 1-2 tbl spoon of Flex oil w/lignans daily +big tbl spoon of ground Flex for fiber +360mg of GLA (blk currant seed) daily. By adding 2 soft gels of EL fish oil, is it too much Omega 3 vs.Omega 6?
3. How much Cal/Mg a man/woman ages 50-60 needs daily? I take 1 tbl spoon of liquid Cal/Mg/Vit D w/600/300mg elemental Cal/Mg +400 IU vit D. Is this good formula or would you recommend any other combo aside from EL Bone Protec?
4. My husband smokes? Would amount of Beta Carotene in
TBM Prem.pose any risk for lung cancer?
5. I am looking into Neuro Nat.Gen.but it has some copper in it& being menopausal am reluctant to use it.
Does Zn in formula offset copper or should I go w/Serenity, after all I am dealing w/some anxieties.
Thank you for your answers and best regards. Zora.
I was told that Paba is very anti-thyroid...What is the truth in that? What do you think about saliva testing? Do you recommend any labs? I'm thinking Sanesco Labs possibly ..Is there a supplement without Paba in it? Do you have an iron supplement? What form of iron is safe and easily absorbed? Also regarding the adrenals...What are the essential nutrients to feed and boost adrenal function?
Thanks again ;)
Dear Meliss:
Probiotics are bacteria and enzymes are acids. To be healthy
you need less bacteria and less acid with more alkaline electron
rich foods and drinks.
High blood pressure is caused by increased acidity and a deficiency of
sodium, magnesium and potassium.
pHour salts andpHlavor salts will help.
Regards,
Glad to hear things are going well with the Total Balance and Omega 3.
1. With TBPW you really do need to take the full 7 tablets a day to get all the benefits. An alternative is to switch to TB Womens standard and take 4 tablets per day. If you feel that you do not need the specific women's components then you can switch to the Unisex version of the Premium and only take 4 per day.
Likewise if you don't need the womens component and wish to save money then you could consider the TB Unisex standard as the womens herbals are replaced with other general health ingredients.
The problem if you reduce the number of the tablets in Premium is that the levels of vitamins and minerals then become less than optimum. There is the same amount of vitamins and minerals in 4 tablets of standard TB as there is in premium TB. The extra three tablets are full of extra anti-aging ingredients.
2. The regime that you have with the flax oil and blackcurrent oil is fine with the Fish oil. No problem with continuing that.
3. I think what you are taking re the calcium is fine and I would continue with it if you are happy doing so. There is no hard and fast rule about how much calcium you should take a day. It can vary so much depending on your diet etc. Some 'experts' make claims about certain levels but it is only a guess.
I personally don't bother taking calcium as the main problem with lack of calcium is a general nutritional imbalance which pulls calcium out of the bones. I also ensure that I get weight bearing exercise which is really important for good bones and get as much sun exposure as possible.
4. The beta carotene in TB is not a problem for your husband. The amount is small and is of the natural type which is quite different to the synthetic form that was used in some negative studies. There is a lot of misinformation about this and there is nothing to worry about. If it was a problem we would formulate a version without beta carotene for our smoking customers.
5. The amount of copper in NN is minimal and has no negative issues for you. If you are concerned about anxiety I think that the NN Serenity would be the better option.
PABA is only mildly 'anti-thyroid' and then so is a host of other ingredients. We only use 50mgs a day as it is an important ingredient and good for your skin and also a precursor to folic acid. PABA is a form of vitamin and is present in a wide variety of food. You would likely eat more than 50mgs a day in your normal diet.
Some companies sell PABA at a daily dose of 500mgs.
Small levels of PABA are very important for good body functioning and it would be a mistake to try and avoid it.
With regard to saliva testing...that would depend upon what it is you are testing for, Maybe it could be an option if you are adverse to having your blood taken, but I would opt for tests using blood samples as I beleive they are more reliable.
No, we don't have an iron supplement as we believe you should only take iron if you have been diagonosed with a deficiency. This is because it is a pro-oxidant. If you have a need for iron my suggestion would be to go to the local health food store and find out what the best quality one is that they have. There are many, many forms so this would be the best solution. Ask them why they would recommend one type over and above another.
For adrenal function you need to have a wide spectrum of nutrients not just a few. All parts of the body are interelated so the key is to do things that will boost your overall general health. At the very least take our Multi-Xtra which has many of the key ingredients, but even better upgrade that to Total Balance as these versions contain additional ingredients that will help support all your systems including the adrenals.
Don't know who sent you this but unfortunately it is typical of the uninformed comments and half truths that circulate the internet.
Probiotics are indeed bacteria but they are friendly bacteria. Your body needs friendly bacteria otherwise you would become very sick. Normally you do not need to take probiotics unless you have been on a course of anti-biotics. But, if you do take them they will certainly not do you any harm. So, that was a very misleading statement.
As for enzymes being acids and suggesting you should avoid them, then that is another irresponsible statement. Enzymes are crucial to life and most of us do not get enough in our diet alone.
In so far as alkaline drinks to reduce acidity are concerned they may be helpful but I would reserve my opinion on that.
One of the best remedies to increase alkalinity in the digestive system is to drink a blended mixture of lemon and limes. If you put a pH paper in the blend you will find it is acid. Then drink it and later on test your urine. It will have become more alkaline. So, in other words in this case acid turns to alkaline in the body.
I can't see how high blood pressure is caused by acidity. It is caused by a build up of plaque in the arteries constricting the flow of blood thus forcing the heart to work harder. The pH of the blood is always within a very narrow band.
However, it is possible that the surrounding tissue may be excessively acid and thus cause inflammation which in turn could cause artery restriction, but for that to happen someone would have to be right over the top with regard to their acid levels.
Some people think that if you focus on being highly alkaline that you will never get a disease. That is a somewhat over the top exaggeration. It is all about balance.
You can test your acid/alkaline levels quite easily by going to the chemist and getting some pH strips and testing your level both with saliva and urine. If you are excessively acid start taking some lemons and lime and it will soon come right.
Thanks again Warren for taking the time.. There is so much information and misinformation out there...Trying to discern true from false ;)
I have a 15 yr old daughter who has mild to severe acne. How can I help her? You only have skin products for adults.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Elisa
If you upgrade from Multi-Xtra to one of the Total Balance series designated for women, you will find that this version of Total Balance does cater for a woman’s hormonal balancing needs by providing a number of natural herbs that have been established to be beneficial for women.
Concerning the thyroid and adrenals, it is not practical to try and single out a specific ingredient(s) for these. You really need to provide nutrients to ALL your systems as they are all interdependent to various degrees. If you could manage to go to the Premium Version of Total Balance Women’s, you can be sure you are getting the best possible coverage for a single product.
We are currently working on a new product for acne. I am not sure when we will be releasing it but when we get closer, I would be happy to arrange a sample to be sent to you for your daughter to test.
Can you email Michelle at Michelle@xtend-life.com and tell her you have been speaking to me and would like to have you kept in mind when we are ready to test a new acne product.
I am a 18th year old male and am facing the same problem as Elisa's daughter. If its possible, can you send me the sample product for acne as well when it is ready?
I will definitely appreciate that!
Thanks for your time
Actually many customers who have acne have tried the existing products and found that they have been very beneficial...but, they have not been formulated for that specific objective. The one that we have under development is.
My husband was diagnosed with Solar Keratosis on the top of his skull and was given SOLARAZE cream to be rubbed on the scaly growth. He has been using it for 2 months now and it's almost cleared. I was wondering if there is something he could do to avoid the use of Solaraze in the future, because his rhinitis has come back since he started using the cream. I'm not sure if it was the only cause for the rhinitis to return, but there is nothing else I could blame for it, after all it's summer here now.
Thank you.
